Applying for Reception places

Reception Admissions for September 2026

If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, you can apply for a primary school reception year place for September 2026 from 1 September 2025.

Your application form and any supplementary forms must be received by 15 January 2026.

Please note that children with a place in our Nursery do not automatically have a place for Reception and must apply in the same way.

The national offer day for Reception places is 16th April 2026.

Nursery Admissions

We have now offered all of our places in the Nursery for September 2025 and have a waiting list in place.

Applications for September 2026 are now open and the deadline to apply is the 4th February 2026. To apply, please complete our Application Form linked below, and then bring in or email:

- Proof of address (e.g. utility bill, driving licence)

- Proof of ID for your child (birth certificate or passport)

Nursery Application Form - September 2026

Years 1 to 6 Admissions

Parents/carers who wish to apply for a place in Penwortham for Years 1 to 6 will need to complete the admissions application form obtainable from their local authority.

Penwortham’s local authority is Wandsworth and the majority of our pupils live within the Wandsworth Borough. The application will need to be returned to the local authority and they will send you a notification of whether or not a place can be offered.

Starting School in Wandsworth

Parents must apply for a place in any state school in any Borough through their home council. Wandsworth Council provides a full-time place in a primary school Reception Class in the September of the school year in which their children reach their 5^th birthday.
