At Penwortham, we provide children with a culturally rich education that embeds a diverse music curriculum across the key stages. Throughout their musical journey, children will develop a range of skills to build their self-expression and confidence. From Early Years to Year 6 we actively promote a lifelong love for music. 

During the workshop, we explored the interrelated dimensions of music, in particular the use of tempo, pulse, dynamics, rhythm and pitch through active listening, composition and performance. he structure of the workshop was designed to give parents a taste of what a music lesson at Penwortham is like. All of the children and their parents were enthusiastic about the new knowledge and skills acquired through playing djembe drums, group singing and composition in the form of graphic scores.
