Coaching is a solution based and empowering approach to leadership and development that has transformed our school. Since adopting a coaching approach to school improvement in 2016 we have seen mindsets change, mental health improve and evidence of high degrees of trust and staff fulfillment. The leadership team, including the headteacher, actively participates in coaching and we have trained coaches across the school to deliver the highest standards in coaching to all staff. We use different coaching tools and strategies that support performance management, strategic planning and personal development. In 2020 we were awarded the Coachmark Silver award (supported by the institute of Educational Coaching) and are currently developing coaching for children across the school.
